(In)Sight Snags Classic Cyrine Abdelnour Cover

 Cyrine Abdelnour is no longer an artist, she is a business. A very classy business venture whose success in acting, singing, modeling and now magazine cover girl is hard to miss. She is everywhere and every week, I read something new from her camp. And by the way she also has a loving family.

Last week she was promoting sleepwear company and attending a product launch, now she is on the cover of an English language magazine that circulates in the Middle east.(In)Sight snagged a number of pictures of the songstress and the theme was the classical look of the 60s. The magazine is based in Cairo Egypt, but the mother company is based in the UK. A monthly publication covering social, cultural, economic and sometimes political issues, from an insider’s perspective, as demanded by a wide spectrum of readers.

I must say the magazine did a great job and the photographer manged to capture a moment with  Cyrine Abdelnour whose good looks make it look easy. The pictures and the cover were part of an interview the starlet gave to that publication where she spoke about her career and future projects.

Amr Diab Flies To Sydney For Arabic Music Festival

The festival on Sydney will be in February 2, 2013, but you really cannot have a music festival away form Arabia and not include the King of Arabia's pop. Amr Diab will be in his flesh singing and celebrating in Australia, a country where many Arabs call it home.

Amr Diab most likely has fans from that country who do not speak Arabic, yet they find themselves gravitating toward his music. The teaser video on the singer's YouTube channel has the following link, but the event has yet to go on sale.

Amr Diab rocked out in the States, but this time he will take his show to the outbacks, down under. Australia is the home of many Lebanese immigrants, Australia is not a popular choice for too many Arabs. Whatever there are, Amr will give them his A game.

Jean-Marie Riachi "Castana" Arabic Christmas Album

Chestnut or Castana, is a new Christmas album from the production of popular Lebanese producer and composer Jean-Marie Riachi (JMR). The album features six songs by Yara and 2 for Lara Scander. Two Christian young women with incredible voices. Jean is one of their biggest fans and cheerleaders so it makes sense he puts them on his Christmas and Holiday album.

The album also has two Christmas melodies, and duets for new and upcoming stars like Kristina Haddad and Mark Raeedy. Here's a thought why does not one working on this album has an Arabic name? Aren't you curious?  I know many non-Christians also celebrate this holiday. An Arabic album is a great idea to warm up this otherwise cold season.

The album revisits all those Christmas songs from English and other languages  turning them into Arabic and using Arabic notes and instruments. The album was an idea that came a year ago, and become a reality this year. It does feel like the album is made for cultural reasons and not commercial reasons, but money helps both incentives. 

The album will release officially tomorrow, but it has already been on the top of virgin mega store charts in Beirut.

And I thought she was in the city of New York healing from her divorce with the ex that she claims to still love. But no Haifa Wehbe was in the big apple filming a music video for her mega song MJK. She filmed them with a the help of big studio and burning thousands of dollars.

Haifa Wehbe is going to outlast us all, she is the Madonna of our part of the world, she has so many images, so many tricks that she keeps bringing out form her bag. We have to stand by and watch her do her thing, so check out his light filled music video, it feels like a Las Vegas Gentleman club. Flash dance it's and I am now remembered a music video for J. Lo that might have done similar affects.

I have no reasons to doubt that this will be a dazzling music video....so we have to see it, but the promo gives you an peak.

May Abd El Aziz is a talented young vocalist/social worker who has a vision of spreading peace love and respect through music all over the world, and her mission is to change the world's bad views on Islam. She is based in Cairo where she performs with her head cover and exotic looks.

Her most recent song is titled Beautiful Muhammad, about the prophet of Islam, his teaching and his way of life. While May might not be on CNN and other news channels like those violent groups labeled as Muslims, she is doing her part. May sings for Muslims, inspiring them to be the best version of themselves and live the life of their prophet.

In her music video project she brings dogs and shows them some love. She can be seen engaging in the life many Egyptians have known--she is one of the people. She tours the streets and in parts she is recording her song that most Muslims will cheer her on.

The Egyptian Joker Speaks Up On The Protests

El Joker is a young and angry rapper in Egypt. He is disappointed to see what takes place in his country at the moment. He is unhappy with the brotherhood, the old regime, and the politicians and interest groups. He is hardly the only one, but he is the loudest among money.

He is 20 years old and he is a student of telecommunication engineering. He is interested in poetry (classical and contemporary) where he has honed his own poetry writing--where he raps them now. He is also a student o history, philosophy and has also studied atheism. So this is a rapper who is a well -read.

He likes to rap as a way to vent, and get something off his chest. He is all about meaningful lyrics, and strong meaningful messages with clever flow. El Joker is a firm believer in one meeting his own promises. I cannot appreciate me, if others have fails to see the good in me.

Leftist Actor Khaled El Sawy Promotes Indie Music

Khaled El Sawy has always spoke his mind, even prior to the revolution. He stood for the little guy and issues warning to big business intimidating people. Those political stands are also clear through his roles in movies and Dramas. He led many protests against Mubarak and has urged his peers to join him. By doing so he took a risk unlike many others who stood on the sidelines.

I do not think he has made any movies recently, but that does not mean he is not keeping a busy schedule. Khaled joined an indie band that blends poetry and music in a show meant for the intellectuals. They put original music and the band is known as Al-Assifah--the Storm. 

Vocalists, and Eastern and Egyptian instruments to spread a massage of peace and hope for his people. He is reminding people that since their foes do not quit, they do not have to quit themselves. The actor brings a lot of attendees, something the band enjoys that considers itself a throwback to the Egyptian glory days of music.
