Rap is still a strange art from in the Gaza Strip, while it has fans, the mainstream have yet to embrace this art form that is often born in struggle. Gaza is a bit conservative, not more conservative than places like Hebron in the West Bank. So when MC Gaza put out a show in Gaza's biggest concert hall Rashad El Shawa Center, he did not get the help he needed form the fans.
Notice the music is missing from the performance, there's minimalist beat in the background, but bless his heart MC Gaza had to spit out lines after another. He had to keep the flow going as it made the show. Not much audience participation, but when he was done she clapped for him.
Props to Mc Gaza for playing an audio clip from Julia Butrous' song about the future of the motherland. Among its biggest fans are guys who like American movies and college kids.
